Gospel Ministry

journeyFreedom in Christ Ministries was formed as the ministry home of Pastor Martin Dwyer to share the gospel through preaching, teaching and discipleship training. Our discipleship training was developed and forged in some of the toughest battlegrounds for sin today. After years of preaching and teaching in jails and on troubled streets, the gospel of Jesus Christ has proven to be exactly what it claims to be - a path to eternal life. This path begins on sincere confession of faith and continues - until it is finished in heaven by the Lord himself.

Our programs focus on finding freedom through building up the believer's identity in Christ. We offer counseling and discipleship training in a variety of environments: online and in person meetings.Living in the age and power of the Holy Spirit, we seek to employ God-given gifts to help others embrace the goodness of God.

Our next complete program, Breaking Down Strongholds, is in development and expected to be complete this summer. Please keep us in your prayers.

Leadership

martinThe ministry is led by reverend Martin Dwyer, a licensedand ordained minister with nearly two decades of ministry experience. His demonstrated gifts of ministry are in evangelism, cross-cultural outreach and discipleship. Martin earned M.A. and M.Div. degrees with distinction from Liberty Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia in 2011 and 2013, respectively.

The Lord has worked powerfully in Martin's life and ministry through prayer and the power of Scripture. His ministry goal is to share the love of God by praying for others, witnessing God's powerful responses, sharing the Gospel and bringing souls to faith in response. Evangelism as it was carried out in the early church.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. (Acts 1:8)

Martin and his wife Rose live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They have four grown children, eight grandchildren. All four of their children completed seminary training and have served in Christian churches, two are pastors.
